Always You (Guardian Hall Book 1)

Even though I finished Always You, unfortunately it never took off and fizzled - there's something too unlikely about Jazz's conversion-like recovery, and not enough passion for that "always you" mantra that has followed both of them for 20? years.

Jazz is homeless and haunted after his military career. He finds his way to a shelter, which happens to be owned and run by his former teenage lover, Alex, who abandoned him.

Alex has started the shelter with some idea of atoning for his rejection of Jazz, so it's an almighty coincidence that indeed Jazz does need a place to recover and it's Alex's shelter where he ends up one cold Chicago day.
