When Dawg Mackay has his mind set on something, nothing can stand in his way. Right now, his mind is dead set on having Crista Jansen any way he wants her. Lucky Crista.
Dawg has wanted his friend’s younger sister for years – years during which she has done nothing but run from him, much to his frustration. Now he has her right where he wants her and he isn’t above blackmailing her into his life.
Crista has loved Dawg for years, but one mistake years ago stands between them. It was a night he doesn’t remember, but one she can never forget…
Lora Leigh describes her hero in the second book of the Nauti Trilogy as ‘hard core’ and Dawg Mackay has absolutely no trouble at all living up to show more that description – much to my utter delight! I have hungered for his story since I read the previous book in the series, Nauti Boy, and will say without reservation that Nauti Nights surpassed my expectations, which were pretty darn high to begin with.
Crista is the epitome of the Lora Leigh heroine – strong, soft, intrepid, caring, and with a bit of tragedy in her past that simultaneously makes her stronger and also serves as an obstacle to her relationship with the man she loves.
Dawg is just IT. So Alpha-male he will make your knees wobbly, he is not without a degree of sensitivity – well, in his own dominant way, of course! LOL There are times he does things that make you want to just throttle him, and you keep watching for Crista to do just that, but the omniscient view the reader enjoys makes his domineering manner a little easier to take, since we know all along that the man’s heart is definitely in the right place.
As Nauti Nights ends, the author leaves us with a teaser guaranteed to leave fans panting for the next book in the Nauti Trilogy, but more than satisfied with the happy ending she crafts for Crista and Dawg. Carrying readers through a roller coaster of emotions – love, lust, sadness, happiness, and more, Nauti Nights is a perfect example of everything I love about Lora Leigh’s work. show less

WOW... I really liked this second book a lot better than Nauti Boy. The cover really looks like how I imagined Dawg to be. I think I have a crush on rough boy Dawg here.
He is wild and a wet dream come to life, and he literally is Crista's dream come true. Crista has been craving Dawg since she can remember and then one night all her wishes come true. It's too much for her and she runs from him.
Dawg doesn't remember what happened between them, he just knows that Crista left with another man, but has now returned to torment him further. Crista has been the star in his dreams for the past 8 years and now she is back and ignoring him. He is persistent and is intended in showing Crista what she has been missing.
I’m so glad I picked up show more this series and I’ve already started to read the next book, “Nauti Dreams”. show less

Blackmail is such a dirty business, but after eight years of waiting on the one woman he really wanted, James "Dawg" Mackay couldn't wait any longer. He had Crista Jansen right where he wanted her. For years Dawg had been having vivid dreams of what he wanted to do to Crista, but every time he tried to get close to her she backed away. Then suddenly eight years ago she just took off and moved in with another man in another state. Now she's back and in trouble and Dawg will stop at nothing to keep her safe, as well as have his way with her, every way possible.
Crista remembers things a little bit differently. Perhaps that's because show more Dawg doesn't remember what happened the one and only night they shared together. Even though she could never forget Dawg that is exactly what she sets out to do. Unfortunately, that isn't what happens and after eight years she decides to sweep the ghosts out of her past.
Now she's been home for over a year and suddenly strange things are happening to her. Then one day she goes on, what she thinks is, a simple errand to turns into bullets being fired all around her. It turns out the one who saves her is the one man she can't forget Dawg.
I liked the second story in the Nauti Boys series, Nauti Nights, a little better than the first. The characters were a little stronger and the buildup of the mystery was nicely executed. At first I was a little concerned that I wouldn't like the blackmail angle to the story, but Dawg more than redeems himself throughout the story. I like Crista too. She's been thrown to the wolves and in a desperate situation that isn't of her own making. She's smart and sassy, which I love in a heroine. Dawg is the ultimate Nauti Boy, especially in the love scenes. So far this series is really good.
I love series books and reading them one right after the other is more fun for me than waiting a few months for the next one to come out. So I'm off to read the next book in this series "Nauti Dreams."

Blackmail is a dirty word, but Dawg will use it if that's what it takes to get Crista where he wants her. His hungers are too hard and fierce not to. He doesn't realize that Crista has a longing too. She's knows what he's up to, what he's capable of. He didn't get that nickname for nothing. And before the night is through, Crista's making him work for it. show less

I was a little disappointed in this book at the beginning. I understand why Dawg blackmailed Crista but it was difficult to understand at the beginning of the story. I knew there was a history between these two from what was said in NAUTI BOYS. The whole story is revealed in this story and the history of Dawg and Natches, or at least a good deal of the history between the three cousins and their parents. There is so much similarity to the August brothers and Dawg and Natches it is sad.
James “Dawg” Mackay has worked very hard the last eight years to make the lumber company that he inherited from his father into a success. He has a talent for making the company profitable which probably makes his father roll over in this grave. Dawg show more had to fight with his aunt and cousin to hold on to what was rightfully his and he has resented them since the battle ended. Dawg is also haunted by dreams of Crista. He doesn't know why and it is making him angry. Dawg has been working for the ATF since he was discharged from the Marines. The one saving grace for Natches and Dawg was Rowdy’s father Ray Mackay. He showed them what a true family was supposed to be. Dawg has many attributes that I find attractive. He is possessive, dominant, determined and willing to give his heart to Crista.
Crista Jansen has been grieving over the one night that she spent with Dawg eight years ago and the consequences of that night. She ran away hoping to forget and move on with her life. She came back to Somerset because she missed her home. For the last year she has avoid Dawg hoping that he will go away, but hoping he will stay. She still loves him but she doesn't want to be shared with his cousins. When she is almost killed she realizes that she has been drawn into something that she never thought could happen. She has had some mysterious stuff going on at her home, clothing missing and turning back up as well as the feeling that someone is watching her. After almost being killed she knows that she needs to stay with Dawg until things can be figured out. I was a little disappointed with Crista. I mean if her brother had raised her why was she so resistant to getting help. I am sure Alex drilled into her the need to follow orders in a difficult situation. I am also sure that he would have taught her to defend herself as well as teaching her to shoot a weapon. This is one of the problems I have always had with Ms. Leigh’s female characters. They can be so stubborn and dumb sometimes.
Overall I did enjoy this story and it will go on my keep shelf. I will probably reread it sometime in the future. There is a nice little mystery and a wicked mean villain as well as the history that we hadn't had in the earlier book. We also get a good look at what not sharing is doing to Natches. I am looking forward to his story next. He is the most abused of the cousins and the darkest of the three. He needs to be loved much more than the other two. I am also looking forward to Alex Jansen’s story. Any boy/man that would raise a sister and care for her like Alex seems to deserves a wonderful woman that will love him and give him a family. show less

I liked this one much better. The chemistry between Crista and Dawg was off the charts and the plot, despite still being a little predictable, was fun. And again with the unbelievable smut. Awesome.

I love, love love Dawg! Of all the Nauti boys he is hands down my favorite. Super Alpha with a soft squishy middle! This is a book that I have reread a couple times because I love the hero so much!
