From bed partners . . . Two years ago, while on assignment for the Crown, darkly handsome Garrett Burke left Lady Ivy Wentworth sleeping naked in his bed as he went in search of the missing Martello diamonds. After apprehending the dastardly thief, he intended to spend the rest of his life in the arms of the auburn-haired beauty. But when the case came to a shocking and dangerous end, Garrett was certain he'd been betrayed . . . To partners in crime Ivy once loved Garrett with a virtuous show more heart, but these days she can barely stand him. Arriving at a deserted estate on a mysterious errand, she never expected to see him again, nor feel the same ecstasy she once did at his touch. Now, joined with him in the search for the legendary jewels, she is willing to risk everything. Everything, that is, except her heart . . . show less

I got this in a giveway, possibly Librarything, but I can't see to find this on my list. In any event, as always, this does not effect my review.

I was so bored for about he first 60 pages I almost gave up, but after that I quite liked it. One point off for the excruciatingly slow start and one point off for ugly=evil. Otherwise a nicely written romance with a very appealing heroine.
This book read like a boy's adventure book with all the secret passages and although fun, for me it distracted a bit from the romance. All in all I liked it, though.
Es sumamente aburrido y no te engancha para nada la historia.

Dedication
This book is dedicated to several wonderful people. First, to my magnificent agent, Denise Marcil, who’s been the greatest champion of my work for the last ten years, and to the marvelous editorial staff at Avon Books, who ... (show all)are forever there to help and encourage me when I struggle: Carrie Feron, Lyssa Keusch, May Chen, and Cristine Grace.
First words
Garrett stirred and lifted his head from his pillow, trying to focus on the clock atop the mantelpiece without waking Ivy, who slept beside him in his bed.
Last words
(Click to show. Warning: May contain spoilers.)With her brother walking her down the aisle to give her to the groom, she proceeded without reservation, her heart filled with love, and the famous Martello tiara—diamonds intact—sparkling in all its radiance upon her head.
