Global Babies

As an adult I lvoed this, pictures of babies from many differnt cultures, wearing different traditional baby outfits. But the pictures were too busy for by boys eye, he didn't notice that they were pictures of babies at all.

Summary
Babies all around the world with different cultures and background share something in common. Each picture has a colorful background and the baby dressed in their culture, the pictures are very rich details. On each page their it tells a short discription of how different their cultures are they all share something in common.
My Response
This is a great book for small children maybe age 4-7 years old. The pictures are very colorful and show their traditional clothing and background. This is a very good book for anti bullying that shows no matter what your background may be all people share something in common. I would recommend this book for small children.
Classroom Extension
1)Ask students what all the babies had in common.
2)What show more traditional clothing did they like the most and was the clothing good for hot or cold weather. show less

My granddaughter loves the pictures in this nice board book. It's great to find books with a variety of photos of real children for her to look at!

A single sentence continuing throughout the book celebrates babies. Each child is identified by their country of origin, and is wearing traditional garb. Some culturally sensitive parents may have qualms about the exoticization of non-US cultures, but wee children will delight in looking at tiny faces like their own.

Beautiful pictures of babies from all over the world. Great one to recognize that babies from all over are beautiful. Also the story is very simple and perfect to actually read to a baby since they like looking at pictures of other babies and the text is so little that it doesn't distract them.

Picture book with photos of babies from other countries and the name of the country they are from. Nice simple way of introducing the concept of diversity to babies. Mx was interested in this book for several years. Ms liked it for just a couple of years.
