Widower Tanner Rutland couldn't believe it when he found himself tiptoeing through a redwood forest looking for a dead body. How could he think, even for a second, that Fluffy had witnessed a murder? It was no use. One look into her gorgeous eyes--Lili's, not Fluffy'--and Tanner was a goner. And when he finally kissed her...pure magic. Lili Goodweather works as a florist but she also talks to cats. Tanner Rutland is a man of logic, bringing up his motherless daughter to be a logical person too. When Lili reveals that his cat has seen a murder he's sceptical, when they find the body he's suspicious, but Lili is a nice person, a good person, how to reconcile his feeling for her with his suspicions.

This was a fun read, the two main characters are great fun and some of the background characters are also great. There are moments where things seem to slip a little but overall not a bad read at all. ( )
