The duet narration by Corvin King and Lucy Rivers brought Tiernan and Lila to life with stunning intensity, his cold, lethal calm and her quiet, growing strength felt visceral through their voices. I was pulled into this dark, twisting mafia world where an arranged marriage becomes an unexpected, deeply emotional connection. Tiernan’s morally black edges and Lila’s transformation from sheltered innocence to fierce resilience made their dynamic addictive. The plot twists, trauma reveals, and brutal stakes kept me glued to the story. This isn’t a gentle romance; it’s violent, raw, and unforgettable. If you can handle the triggers, the audiobook elevates every moment.
Bad Bishop by LJ Shen is dark, intense, and twisted mafia romance (Book1 )in the Society of Villains Series with dual POV's. FMC: Lila Ferrante 18 and MMC: Tiernan Callaghan 28.

I listened to the audiobook and the narrators were incredible taking an already great story and captivating the reader with the Gaelic accent and bringing to life the feeling of tension and intrigue. Corvin King’s narration is magnetic in the way his voice embodies Tiernan’s dangerous allure, it's truly compelling.

Lila, an Italian mafia princess, whom many underestimate because of her mother's plan to pretend she is developmentally young minded to protect her from marriage in the world they live in. She goes from being a protected girl to an empowered woman show more fighting for what she wants. Lila endured something dark and horrific that is life changing, insert Tiernan, who is "coerced" into marrying her.

Tiernan, an Irish mafia prince, is a complex character with many facets, cruel and heartless, but at the same time so full of vulnerabilities. I loved the way he lets his walls fall around Lila and how protective he is with her. He is cold hearted and that was programmed into him since he was young. As the story develops you'll understand exactly why he is the was he is. Grab your tissues because once you learn what he and his twin sister had to endure when they were younger, you're gonna need them. Tiernan is unsettling yet fascinating.

Although Tiernan quickly sees through Lila’s disguise, though he misinterprets her motives, adding tension to their dynamic. I loved the evolution of their relationship and how little by little, hatred turns into love. This is a slow-burn. It's delicious and

Their scenes are everything, so emotional, intense, passionate and beautiful, I adore how they explore together all the first times and that even though he was so cruel and ruthless, he was so sweet and so patient with Lila, and his possessive side, PURE PERFECTION.

I love the character development here is incredible. And I loved the Ferrante brothers. Especially the way they defended their mother when their dad hit her. I also loved their protectiveness toward Lila. Achilles and Tierney are standout supporting characters and I really enjoyed them.

This world is so well crafted with so many plot twists, leaving you hypothesized. With so many theories going through my mind until the very end. The story is sexy, addictive, angsty, dark, and depraved. I can't wait for everyone to read it, I need the next book ... SERIOUSLY THOUGH ... I NEED IT NOW! LJ Shen just made a new fan!

I was not sure I was going to like this book when I started it. So much stuff happened at the beginning and none of it good. They cut out his eye and she was raped. They both had awful childhoods. I was skeptical that I would want the MCs together. The characters and the changes in their relationship kept me reading. I was drawn into the book and how the MCs each grew into themselves and each other. The ending was worth the read! Highly recommend
