I really did enjoy this read. Two book in one, Hidden Star and Captive Star.
Hidden Star is an amnesia story, Cade Parris is having a bad day when into his offices walks a beautiful woman with a problem, she has a lot of money on her, and a rare gem but she has no idea who she is and what's going on. As they look into it they discover an attraction.

In Captive Star Jack Dakota is a bounty hunter, his latest target is MJ O'Leary, but she's being set up and his life is in danger, she has the second gem. Again they are in trouble. This story is told at roughly the same time as the first, so you hear messages from both sides as things go on.

Overall I enjoyed the ride, pretty predictable in parts but overall very readable. I'm looking forward show more to finishing out the story with Secret Star. Where I hope to find out more about the mystery person who wants the gems and wants at least one of the girls dead. The two women and two men are pretty believable and the chemistry worked for me. show less
Overall these two books were decent reads. Definitely entertaining. But the speed of the relationships in both were . . . unsettling. To say the least. When authors do that all I feel is indignation, disbelief and irritation, which, I'm assuming, is not the desired reaction.
Nora Roberts at her best... can't wait to read the last book of this trilogy. They should have bundled all 3 instead of just 2 =.=
