This is a humorous graphic novel that follows the final paths of Keitaro and Naru as they struggle to overcome the obstacles that stand between them and their love for each other. Teens will be instantly be intrigued by the provocative drawings and everyday language. At times reading this true manga-style novel is confusing but once the reader establishes the pattern (reading backwards from right to left) the characters living in Hinata House at Toyko University are entertaining. The final volume is more an epilogue than anything else. And, as we must, we end exactly where we began. ( )

Well, the series has ended, and satisfactorily at that. The addition of a new character at the end was odd, but I suppose it laid a foundation for the epilogue. So close to the end, some of the middle chapters seemed unnecessary, but the train ride chapter was especially good. All in all, a good end to some guilty pleasure reading. ( )
