Ewdard R. Ricciuti graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in communication arts and went on for his master's degree at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He was appointed a Sloan-Rockefeller Advanced Science Writing Fellow at Columbia. Ricciuti is also a former U.S. Marine reservist.
