Fantastic beginner's resource for a complicated subject, very clear and well-organized. The author comes across as very personable and warm, too, which is great when she's discussing intimidating material like a foreign language. I wish I could take a class with her in person.

The Spanish QuickStart Guide offers a structured and accessible introduction to Spanish for beginners, emphasizing practical vocabulary and foundational grammar. Its strengths lie in clarity and organization, presenting concepts in a logical progression that supports independent learning. However, the guide prioritizes efficiency over depth; grammatical explanations are brief, and opportunities for contextual or cultural engagement are limited. While effective as a reference or refresher, it may feel insufficient for learners seeking immersive practice or advanced linguistic nuance. Overall, it functions best as a supplementary tool rather than a comprehensive language-learning resource.

This is an exceptional way to learn Spanish and I whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone wishing to learn this language. I always have difficulty learning some languages, but this system made it easy. And this is only the beginner’s level! Looks like I am going to have to download the next in the series and continue my journey.

I was given a free copy of "Spanish QuickStart Guide: The Simplified Beginner's Guide to Learning Essential Vocabulary, Building Practical Grammar Skills, and Mastering Conversational Spanish" via LibraryThing. WOW! The author did a great job in creating this book and lessons. She breaks down everything in an easy-to-understand format and explains things very well. She also provides audio clips to help with pronunciation and comprehension. I think this book is a great way to learn Spanish!

This is book is great. This truly is a quick start for Spanish for adults who might be short on time. It covers the basics. One downside is that it can be a lot of reading, but it also includes QR codes to speakers. But probably the best you can do without taking a class.
