A little odd... a little 'instant classic'... a little syrupy. But there are many families who will adore this, and I can see why. I do love the part where the child teaches the parents how to see leprechauns, etc.
This heart felt picture book is a perfect representation of how a young couple seems as though they have everything they need. The father is a king and the mother is a queen in a wonderful place. They both agree that there isn't anything better than what they already have. This is the punch line that follows the ending of the story when they have a child. The mother makes sure to tell her child every night before bed that there isn't anything better than a family. I would read this book to a group of first graders because I feel as though they will understand how important and special they are to their mother and father.

This is a beautiful story; especially the setting, message, and illustrations!
