After reading Maxwell's Treasured Vows, this was a disappointment. Then again, I imagine most romances would be. Still, it's a good romance with interesting characters. It just doesn't compare to Treasured Vows. I'll still be seeking out Cathy Maxwell's other books, though.
A thug-like Irishman goes chasing after a Scottish heiress for the money he'll be paid to bring her back safely. The heroine's father wants his daughter to marry the aristocrat she's engaged to, but the thug he's hired to find his runaway daughter captures her, and her heart.
