Hard to Handle

Harley Handleman, mixed-martial arts fighter has risen to near the top in his field, one step from the championship fight three times only to be sidetracked at the last moment. Recuperating now from an elbow injury in his retreat in the hills of KY he becomes involved in another incident that could pull him from his goal. His landlady, Anastasia Kelly, is being threatened and Harley steps in to help. When the incident resolves his Uncle Satch pulls him back into training. However, his connection to Stasia continues to pull him out of his single-mindedness. He must decide how to combine his desires and his goals. An interesting take on life aspirations. Fighting is not a sport I like, but this story had a new way of looking at the sport.

This book was okay, not great. The "mystery" part was a bit far-fetched and unnecessary. And I got tired of all the macho posturing after a while. Plus, the dialogue was irritating. I swear there must be some manual of implausible dialogue that these authors are consulting. It drives me nuts. One last thing -- who would hire a 28 year old life coach??? I sure wouldn't.

Sexy romance with great characters, even though there were some cliche plot elements, Lory Foster pulls off a engaging story with yummy hero and realistic heroine.

Why do I love this author so much? Because she writes great porn, and tells an excellent yarn.

Anastasia Kelley has actually known Harley for years, but never as well as she's going to now. Hot for his fighter's form, she has trouble keeping it professional, especially since Harley doesn't know she was hired. And when Anastasia turns the tables on him, it's as if he's been hit below the belt. But that's also where is uncontrollable lust for her burns.

Overall story: Big, strong Alpha heroes meets strong, independent heroines.

I didn't find this one as good as the others but it wasn't to bad.
