HERE KITTY, KITTY! is the Magnus Pack series finale and, boy, was it a wild ride! It features Sara’s sassy Latina friend and the sweet talkin’ hillbilly tiger she fell in love with. While I was a mite let down by GO FETCH!, Angelina’s story more than makes up for the previous books frustrating heroine.

Kidnapped by Nik Vorislav’s idiot brothers after a hyena showdown in her shifter run Tennessee town. Angelina decides its safer for everyone if she takes one for the team and stays with the handsome hillbilly tigers when she learns sending the calvary equals taking protection away from Miki. (See, Miki, this is how you be an awesome kick-ass heroine and NOT a selfish asshat heroine show more who thinks she’s badass.) It has nothing to do with her surprising attraction the panty-melting, sweet talking, Siberian hillbilly. Definitely not.

Nik Vorislav has completely sworn off human women. They’re way too clingy for the happily unmated tiger… until he meets the one human who wants nothing from him. Nik was my favorite type of alpha male. Undeniably sexy, somewhat goofy, and determined to keep his woman. Even if he—god forbid—turns into his father. Oh did I mention he also has the most hilarious daddy issues? Seriously. This is one instant where daddy issues actually add to the charm.

But my all-time favorite characters? Nik’s brothers!

Bannik and Aleksei glanced at each other. Apart, they were two of the brightest men he knew. But together… Lord, they could be stupid.

He is so not exaggerating! Thankfully, what the Vorislav brother lack in brains, they make up in brawn and cuteness. That counts for something, right?

HERE KITTY, KITTY was a wonderful end to the Magnus Pack series and yet I still need more. I want more Magnus Pack HEAs and most importantly, the Vorislav brothers need their own happily-ever-afters! I know it’s a long shot that Laurenston would ever return to the series, but a girl can dream.

This was by far the best story in this series. Angie is another bitchy heroine and I have to say I adore that Laurenston isn't afraid to make her characters female characters mean. Angie is kidnapped by two well-meaning tiger shifters and dropped off at their brother's house.Unknowing that his brothers have just unleashed a violent woman in his house, Nikolai is at first pleased to find the dark haired beauty in his bedroom... until she knocks him out with a toilet seat. After finally wrangling her into a closet, Nikolai discovers that his relatives have just kidnapped a close friend of the Magnus pack's alpha female. Trying to make amends for the screw-up Nikolai agrees to let Angie stay with him until the pack takes care of the hyena show more problem they're having.

God lord, Angie is mean. I loved it. Angie isn't too happy finding herself surrounded by a bunch of tigers, but she twists the situation enough to suit her. The only problem she finds with her current predicament is just how attracted she is to Nikolai. She's never been interested in men except for sex, so the pull she feels towards Nik flat out disturbs her. It doesn't help that Nik feels the same pull or that his two brothers are also interested in Angie. I loved seeing Nik's two brothers constantly hitting on Angie, especially their odd techniques in trying to woo her. However, it was Nik and his reactions to Angie that really stole the cake. It was pretty amusing watching him be shocked by her violence and then only wanting her more for it. There's a really amusing scene where Nik is taking bets with his family on how Angie will "handle" a persistent admirer at a gathering.

My only problem with this book was the odd resolution to Nik and Angie's romance. It wasn't as frustrating as Go Fetch!'s but I felt like it broke the tone of the rest of the book. If you're fan of Laurenston's Pride series you should pick this one up.

Angelina is a sexy, crazy, Latina with control issues. She swears like a sailor, calls everyone on their shit all while being a fashionista. She gets kidnapped by Nikolai's brothers after they save her from a hyena attack and dump her at Nik's home. When she wakes up she attacks Nik thinking he was her kidnapper, and he ends up being her protector. Angelina loves to torture him and he loves it and decides he wants to keep her. He only has to wear down her defenses so he can claim her.

These characters are unapologetic and in your face and I often found myself laughing out loud, while being appalled at their antics. I think I love these 'hillbilly' cats more than the wolves in this series. show more Laurenston captures cat behavior so well.

The one point that grossed me out every time was Angela's pulsating clit that kept thumping loudly. Every time it happened it yanked me right out of the story.

This woman has my undying loyalty. Anyone that can make me smile and laugh when I am fighting bronchitis, a double ear infection and a sinus infection is on my must buy everything she writes list. I love Ms. Laurenston's writing and her crazy Heroines and the men that love them. She has taken the shapeshifter genre into a whole new realm. She seems to understand how wolves, lions, tigers and bears all seem to related to their packs, clans and prides and how they interact with others. I can't recommend this author enough.
Although it's not as great as the previous book, Go Fetch!, this was still a laugh-out-loud read.

What stopped me from giving a full 5 stars was Angelina's fashion fixation, Miki's drugging fetish, Sara's mean streak in not telling Angelina where Nik was which really hurt her, and I didn't like where she dumped him even though many thought that was funny -I didn't in this case.

What I did like was the wooing tiger-style (BTW I LOVE tigers!), Angelina's way of dealing with unwanted attention and her ability to turn anything, and I mean anything into a weapon, Miki's trouble-making addiction and Nik's willingness to follow Angelina and live where she wants to.

I just have Irene's story to read and then...well, there are no more Magnus Pack show more stories. :( show less
I like the way Shelly Laurenston writes love scenes. She has the talent to make me sweat from the heat coming off the pages. The third Magnus Pack book, "Here Kitty, Kitty", is no different. My problem with this one is the heroine...I really, really disliked her.

Angelina doesn't take crap from anybody; she hands it out instead. She's a mixed-descent American with attitude and the ability to kick butt...even when going up against non-humans. As the only full human left in her triad of friends, she's become something of a target for the hyenas looking to hurt the pack. So when she goes down in a fight and wakes up somewhere strange, she's only a little surprised to discover she's not in the 'lion's den'...this den is for tigers show more only!

Nikolai knew he should never have shown interest in the mouthy broad from the airport. Of course, he never thought his brothers would kidnap her and bring her to his house either. He's knows she'll be trouble, and within 5 minutes of waking up she's knee'd him and cracked a toilet tank lid over his head...guess he was right about the trouble part. So if she's so much trouble, why is he so hot for her?

Smoking hot sex alert. But also, nasty, witchy, heroine alert. She seemed to be nasty just because...and that put my back up (hey! at least I didn't say 'put my fur up', or 'rubbed me the wrong way') from the first. Her interactions were hostile to just about everyone in the book, including her friends! This was something I never got over. And Nikolai, hot as he was, wasn't a very intriguing hero for me either. For someone with animal instincts, it sure took him a long time to recognize his feelings for Angelina. He spent most of his time moaning about his family...just not very Alpha for me.

So even though I disliked the heroine, and the hero too to a certain extent, I still gave this sucker three stars for the smoking hot sex. Because...it's my review and I can!

I didn't think I would like Laurenston's books. The book covers are ridiculously stupid and annoying. Come to think of it so are the titles. I purposely have not bought her books because the titles and covers are a turn off. Ya know - half naked dude in jeans having nothing to do with the actual story line etc... But, don't let this deter you because I have now read everhything she has written ( also pens under G.A. Aiken) and I love everthing she's written. I'm a snarky bitch, and I can't recall many romance writers who can make me laugh. Very funny writing and well written. I'm not from the South, but have lived in SC for years, and she's spot on with all the 'dirty south' doings. Alot of her shifters came from the South and go back show more and visit family, but tend to live in Texas, New York... The men in her books are so loveable and definetly Alpha, but they are realistic - except for the shifter part. Usually I love a book because the male is such a bastard and sarcastic, but it is the women in her books that take this role. When the herone and her girlfriends get together and shoot the shit, it reminds me of me and mine. The conversations are often hilarious but also have such an authenticity about them. Laurenston doesn't try to reinvent the were/lion or romance genre. She's an excellent writer and I'd bet money that before she made it as a writer, she was a computer programmer. You'll understand the previous sentence after reading a few in the Magnus series. Her books so far are about were or lion shifters who fall for someone usually out of their animal pack. Her dragon books are written under Aiken and they are historic not contemporary- still very good. The dialogue between characters are exactly like Kresley Cole books. So if you like Cole's Immortals series, you'll love Laurenston too. show less
