Description

Revisit New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis's steamy tale about breaking all the rules...
Rule # 1—No blind dates. Having suffered through one too many, there's no way Samantha O'Ryan will agree to a blind date. Until her best friend needs a favor, that is. Enter Jack Knight. If she'd known how hot he is, she never would have protested.
Rule # 2—No kissing on the first date. Sam can't resist Jack. And before the night is over, she wants to do a lot more than just kiss him. For show more someone like Sam, who runs from all commitment, that fact should be enough to make her refuse the second date. It's not.
Rule # 3—No falling in love. Sam is determined to keep this fling on sizzle with no strings attached. But Jack starts hinting about something more, and suddenly she's being seduced in the most tempting way...

4.5, but I'm rounding up because I swooned all over myself with this book.

I've read a looo-hot of Jill's books, and while I love her books, they do have a certain formula to them. And though this one had a small glimpse of that (commitment phobes), it was a FRESH read. The UST was outta this world. Sam was unique, fun, ballsy, and not in a fake way. I truly loved her character. And Jack? He had me at 6'6". (ok, so he was way more than height, and truthfully would give Brady a run for his money in the swooniest Hero Jill's ever created). (also, what is it with her dumbest titled books being the best ones?!? See also: Animal Magnetism)

This baby is going on the reread list.
Samantha O'Ryan owns a cafe and lives on the beach, she occasionally teaches surfing but it only adds to her enjoyment of the water. The Cafe helps her keep her lifestyle the way it is, simple, uncomplicated.

Jack Knight was a basketball player, he's now retired after two knee surgeries. He's wealthy, popular and looking for a date to his sister's charity ball.

When the two get together they think it's uncomplicated but the more time they spend together the more heated things get. There's not as much sex in this one as in several other of this type but the buildup is ferocious! I really did enjoy the two characters, they actually thought about some of the issues!
