Book description
Jack and Marianne are always in trouble. So how can they become fourth grade Wizards? Ever since Marianne's mother died, she just can't pay attention in school. Her friend Jack can always make her laugh, but being the class clown makes things hard for him, too. Marianne has almost given up hope of being a Master Wizard - one of the kids in school who earn special privileges. But one day, Marianne gets a new puppy, and things start looking up. Then her dad makes a new friend, Lacy, and Marianne begins to feel like she has a family again. If only she and Jack could make the Wizards...
