Arno Lustiger was born in Poland in 1924. He survived the concentration camps of Auschwitz and Buchenwald. Since 1945 he has lived in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, as an independent author and publisher. He is co-founder of the local Jewish congregation and honorary chairman of the Zionist organization in Germany
