*The Coin of Forever* is a hunting and atmospheric dark fantasy novella that reads like a cross between a theological
morality tale and visceral cosmic horror.
The story follows Jensen statler, a ruthless billionaire who tries to use his vast wealth to outrun death, only to be forced into a terrifying supernatural audit by a mysterious beggar. Morvant brilliantly uses financial terminology like debt, interest, and ledgers to show how human guilt and suppressed trauma can physically and conceptually destroy a person. Alongside Jensen's grim repossession, the book masterfully weaves in the downfall of Simon Starling, a corrupt televangelist who commercialized miracles but is ultimately broken by the spiritual void he created.
Ultimately, it show more is a beautifully written, poetic, and deeply unsettling look at the choices we make and the psychological dents we can never truly repay show less
