Cute picture book. It's about Sandy the seal who is feeling tired and sad and is trying to figure out a way to let it out and not keep it all bottled up inside. Illustrations are adorable.

At first, I wasn't sure I liked this story. I kept wondering when Sandy's diagnosis was going to be revealed. By the Note to You page, I decided this book has value in a limited audience. For example, for patients who have depression or chronic pain (sickle cell disease). Definitely worth having in a hospital and public library!

This is a bright, colorful story of a little otter who is dealing with an unspecified "invisible illness." She is surrounded by animal friends who support her. The text encourages Sandy, and the reader, to "write your own story."

I think the book is well intentioned, but the message is muddled. It could be a good conversation starter for elementary school counselors or child therapists. My own child was distracted by the uncanny faces on the animals and the fact that Sandy is writing in a book underwater. ("Books can't get wet!")

** I got this book through the LibraryThing Early Reviewers program, but all opinions are my own. **

Sweet little book for children with big feelings. The book encourages journaling as a way to process those feelings (could be challenging for littles, but they could draw instead). Adorable illustrations.

I love that they are writing books for children well anyone talking about your feelings, moods that it's okay to feel the way you do.In this story encouraging writing them down, writing in a journal which I love that I have kept a diary-journal since I was between 7-9 years because of my grandma. Its helped with my feelings, everything I can't talk to others about.I also loved the illustrations as well.

An adorable book to help kids of all ages explore their inner feelings. Such a great story dealing with all of our emotions. I think we sometimes forget that kids have the same feelings as adults and don't know how to express them. This is a wonderful story to tell them it's ok!

A very cute book about feelings. The animals in the story are believable and are drawn beautifully. At the end, it has a list of things you can do to help you express your feelings.
