Emberglow Falls Academy: The Rising Storm

I have read many books and storylines about the Fae and I can honestly say there was only ever one other author who wrote them in such a way that they came alive on the page for me to the point where I was no longer reading but watching a movie play out in my head while reading. Not many authors I have read can write in such a way to elicit such a response from me having read thousands of books with paranormal, mythical, or mystical characters in them, but this author - wow, I was completely blown away! From the excellent show don't tell throughout the book, to the background stories, to the amazing character development, to the plot twists and heart breaks that sent me on a roller coaster of emotions in the best way possible and kept show more me reading this book continuously without stopping - it just was not possible for me to put it down! I loved the unique school and the specific powers each student and character had, (without going into spoilers) and then the hidden location only angela could access - I truly wanted to keep living in that world and could visualize the location in my mind and how wondrous it would be to see! This author truly has a beautiful talent with worlds, characters, development, storyline, plot and in such a way that you honestly forget you are reading and your mind takes over and soon you are watching the book come to life in your mind as if you were watching a movie. I can honestly say I almost threw my kindle across the room when the book ended, I kept begging the darn thing to give me just one more page, one more story in this tantalizing world the author created. I am truly looking forward to the next book in this series and pray that one day it becomes a movie because I know I would not hesitate to see this book come to life on the big screen as it did in my head! The second tome in the series is as interesting as the first. The plot thickens and things get more dangerous the farther you get into the story. I am forced to wait to read what comes next, but I would want to read it immediately if it was available.
