This is a lovely mashup/subversion of two fairytales. It's gentle and kind in its exploration of the cruel situations the protagonists are in. I loved the ending.
A lovely re-telling. If a bit obvious, it at least has some powerful emotional truths.

Interesting take on a pair of fairy tales that I had no prior familiarity with.
