It was difficult to sympathize with this main character. An accomplished chef, operating a restaurant in Chicago that has received Michelin notice, destroys that career by having sex with the boss's husband. Her next endeavor, personal chef for a troubled actor with a sinking career who lives in his family home in Maine, rejects him when she gets involved with a local fisherman and has sex with the actor. Much of the novel is spent on her struggle to figure out what she really wants to do with her life. I will leave the reading to you to see if the happy ending happens. My thanks to LibraryThing and the author for a complimentary copy of this book.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 Stars

This was such a cute, cozy read that left me craving comfort food. I loved that alongside the romance, we got to see Chloe find herself and fall in love with Deer Haven. The food descriptions were amazing and had me wanting to try and make something new. I’m craving some fresh buttered bread and a piece of pie after this one.

Thanks to LibraryThing for providing a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts.
