Bare

I really enjoyed this for the most part, however, I did expect more from Rosemary and Aleksei being on the run. For me personally, there wasn't really a sense of danger. We're told about the danger, but I wasn't anxious or felt like something was really going to happen to these characters. I sort of feel the same way with the romance. They were cute and had cute moments, but I didn't feel it.

I enjoyed the writing and how Rosemary was handled with care when it came to her cancer, remission, and grief. Same with Aleksei. I could feel how angry and devastated he was over Phillipe's murder, along with the betrayal of someone he thought he could trust.
