Mary Anne was always my favorite BSC character, I guess because she reminded me so much of myself. I loved this book because she really stuck with "Princess" Victoria through all the girl's snobbiness. Mary Anne knew that Victoria was masking her pain, and she wasn't used to "normal" life, but she really did want to like it there, and Mary Anne was so patient with her. I loved reading about Victoria and I wish she was featured in more BSC books.
It's a kind of a cliche about a rich person opening up and becoming a nicer person after dealing with "poor" people but this wasn't such a bad book.
