waltzmn The Greek Old Testament (Septuagint) has only rarely been translated into English -- and never, until this work was published, has it been translated based on a critical text. This is, therefore, an irreplaceable reference for those interested in the Greek Bible.

The combined edition of Rahlf's version of the Septuagint, based mostly on the three main uncial manuscripts.

The text is small but the work is complete; for a few books, two versions of the text will be provided when the differences are so numerous and the textual critics have yet to ascertain which is most likely the more accurate edition of the LXX. There is a critical apparatus, but the text is not very eclectic.

Useful for the time being, and it says more about the state of LXX textual criticism that we don't yet have a complete alternative. Cheerfully, that day seems to be coming.
Dies ist der Original-Text des Alten Testaments, der bereits 250 Jahre vor Christi Geburt in altgriechischer Schrift vorlag.
