This is lore-heavy and a bit slower than the original series, but enthralling all the same.
The romance between two mind readers is fascinating! Seeing the different timelines and the choice of leaving either your mind vulnerable to your lover or shielding it. and you can see the clear trajectory of when Darkstalker gets overconfident. When his over-protecting turns to controlling, then to complete manipulation. Then, to be mad with power!
Like, we all know what will happen, but the journey to getting there is plausible and well-paced.
But I found myself getting jumbled up with all the names. I just tried to hone in on a decipherable trait like Clearsight’s purple eyes to tell the dragons apart.

The book is good and I have all of the books of wings of fire, but I was hoping that Mike Holmes would be the person that drew the dragons so let him re-draw the book.
