The author's name is actually Catherine Christian.

Early part of book has a lot of setting up and things get interesting with introduction of Lancelot and Guinevere. The narrator of the book talks a great deal about his early days with Arthur, his subsequent journey to Rome and now his return to Arthur to establish a 'Free Britain'. The narrator is a bit too self-righteous for me but I enjoyed the tale
A fine blending of multiple canon versions of the Arthurian Legend, and a great read, besides! I read my paperback copy to shreds and finally purchased a hardcover copy. I reviewed this work during my college days for my Arthurian Legend professor, and convinced her to make it part of the course curriculum. A+ all the way!
Catherine Christian blends a wonderful mix of Myth, Fact and Fiction to create a novel that is a wonderful read. Being a fan of both Arthurian Legend and Roman History, I could easily see in my minds eye the places & people living within the pages.

A must read for any fan of King Arthur and his Valiant companions.

Last words
(Click to show. Warning: May contain spoilers.)Across them moves a Cup - a great transluscent Cup, that glows the color of a red rose. The light comes from that. It is growing, shining, the whole night is lit by it and its rose-flames are all about me. "Arturus, Arthur, Bear - It is I, Bedivere. I have come,"
