This is the best of the books that I own by the author. If you are a charismatic christian who has lost their way and/or needs help with managing emotions, then this is the book for you. "Managing your emotions instead of [y]our emotions managing you" is correct, but just be aware that you're taking in Joyce Meyer's own personal revelations as she has experienced them through God. This book reached me during a very dark time in my life. My seasons have shifted and my spirituality is broader. But I owe a lot to the foundation Ms. Meyer's set through her t.v. show and her books. I am forever grateful to Joyce for showing me the path away from my own 'dark night of the soul.'
While the book captured the problems of uncontrolled emotions, it never really explained *how* you're supposed to control them.
Scriptural insights for topics including: How not to be led by feelings; forgiveness; mood swings; healing for damaged emotions; depression; etc
Our emotions play a vital role in living happy, healthy, successful lives. All emotions, from love and joy, to anger and fear, have an important part to play in understanding ourselves and others. They help us discover the wonders of this life as well as warn us when we are in danger. But this diversity of feelings is meant to complement our life, not determine it!
In this life-transforming boo, Joyce Meyer reveals powerful truths from God's Word that will help you learn to manage all of your emotions in the right direction. Through hilarious illustrations and real-life applications, Joyce delivers the keys to keeping your emotions in the proper place while allowing the Spirit of God to lead and direct you
