Summary: This book takes you through the details of a tiger and her cubs. It tells the story of a mother tiger and how she cares for her cubs.

Personal reaction: I love the illustrations in this book and I liked that the author included informational details about tigers but also had a story line.

Classroom Extension ideas:
1. Talk about the names for baby animals.
2. Make our own cubs during craft time.

I took this children’s book home from the library just for the pictures. There were lots of beautiful pictures of tigers napping, playing, and in action; I can’t get enough of them. Good information for young people about a tiger from cub to adulthood and its habits, but I loved the pictures. This story covered the Bengal tiger from India.
