This book is a great book for emergent and beginning readers because of the easier, common words throughout the story. The words are often ones that will be recognized by children who are just learning to spell and recognize letters.
Biscuit wants to play with two kittens, but they want to play with leaves, crickets, and butterflies. When they get stuck in a tree, Biscuit gets help, then they want to play with him.
