Traitor. That’s what they call Ian Richards these days. Ever since he abandoned the Navy SEALs to work for his biological father’s drug cartel, no one knows what to make of Ian’s loyalties.
No one, that is, except Kira Porter. Between her intel as an undercover agent for the Department of Homeland Security and her intuition as the woman who loves Ian, she knows what side of the fence he is on, and come hell or high water, she will be there to back him up. No one will stop her – not even Ian himself.
With her latest release in her Tempting SEALs saga, Lora Leigh ramps up the action and suspense even higher than before! Fans of this series will not want to miss Killer Secrets when it releases show more March 4, 2008. This gripping story is packed with intrigue, drama, emotion, and the kind of highly erotic love scenes fans of this author have come to crave.
I really do not know how Lora Leigh does it. She could write a phone book that would make the reader hot and bothered! Although many of her heroes share some basic qualities (who doesn’t love a good Alpha male hero?), she manages to create very individual characters, who are definitely their own men. One could never confuse one of these men for the other, despite their similarities.
Ian is just the kind of head-strong, hard-headed Alpha male that makes for a great romantic hero. He has more issues than you can shake a stick at, but that somehow only enhances his appeal. Then again, he has far more good qualities than he does issues, so it balances out in the end… And the issues he has? Well, they aren’t anything the love of a good woman can’t see him through.
Kira Porter is nothing if not a good woman. Although an heiress with more money in her account than most of us see in a lifetime, she works tirelessly as an undercover agent in defense of her country – not because she needs to, but because she wants to. How could Ian not love and admire a woman with the kind of values he himself holds dear? Of course, that doesn’t stop him from trying to keep Kira out of the action, for her own safety, he says. Those Alpha males come with some pretty heavy duty protective genes, you know.
Out of all of the Tempting SEALs novels, Killer Secrets has to be my favorite yet. There is so much involved in this book – plot twists, numerous intrigues, plans within plans. People are rarely who they seem on the surface, and the situation is rarely under anyone’s control, but in the end things wrap up for a great happy ending for Kira and Ian.
Even with our daring couple’s happy ending, we most definitely haven’t seen the last of this riveting saga. Ms. Leigh keeps the plots spinning as she continues the ongoing storyline that weaves throughout all of the books in the Tempting SEALs series. I know that I am absolutely aching with anticipation for the next one! show less

If you want a book with a über damaged alpha male this is it, ladies and gentlemen. By the end of 'Hidden Agendas' I already knew who Ian was supposed to be and I wondered how they were going to explain his situation. Glad that I read his book right after I finished the previous one, because this is story passes very close in time to the end of the last book, which is very nice because the facts are still in our heads. Kira was freaking awesome! I already liked her very much, but now that we got to see how much she kicks ass, I can understand why Ian would fall for her. It was great and at the same time sad to see Ian getting to the realization of what his actions are going to mean to him and Kira in the future and how it is going to show more affect their lives in that moment. They were incredibly hot together, because that is what Lora Leigh does best: write incredibly hot and steamy scenes. You guys won't be disppointed with this book, because it has pretty much it all: the romance, the hot sex, a lot of action and even a little dry humor. Enjoy this because I certainly have. ;) show less
This is my favorite book of this series. Part of that is because the hero is named Ian. I have a softness for that name. The other part is that Ian is so dominant, he reminds me of Ian Sinclair from Shameless. Ian Richards has had a very difficult life and he shows it with everything he does. Even though he is portrayed as a traitor through most of the book. I suspected that he was doing something else. He is much to loyal and honor bound to turn away from all that he cares about just to take over a drug cartel. For most of the story he is driven by determination and revenge for the things that have been done to his team and specifically for what was done to Nathan Malone. I also love that he loves Kira. He comes to accept who she is show more and what she needs. He isn't happy about it but he understands and does what he can to let her help with what he feels he has to do.
Kira is a well trained agent that has been working to bring down the killer of her parents. She is known as the Chameleon because she can become just about anyone and no ones knows her real identity, no one except Ian. Ian can pick her out from a crowd. The mission in Atlanta is the turning point for the relationship that is forming for these two. When she goes to Aruba to face Ian she knows that they will become lovers and she is prepared to do what ever it takes to make that happen. Highly intelligent and very clever she knows that it won't be easy convincing Ian to her way of thinking. I like Kira a lot. She is one of my favorite Lora Leigh female heroines. She is never bitchy or condescending. She uses her intelligence and intuition to get Ian cooperation not insults and whining.
Ms Leigh does a wonderful job of building the suspense leading up to the final battle to take out the terrorist Sorrell. The final battle is also well written and very engrossing. She does a wonderful job of keeping you on the edge of your seating waiting for the final shoe to fall. The love scenes in the story are smoking hot as well as sometimes fast and intense and other times slow and torturous. She make the scenes caring and wonderful never trashy and dirty. These scenes are between a loving couple that have a healthy sex drive. I also love that Ian is so willing to spank and use bondage on Kira. This is almost the perfect story as far as I am concerned. In many ways this is the wrapping up of this series and the start of the Elite Ops series. There are a number of characters in this story that show up on the other. There is one final short story to this series which is Masey's story. show less

Killer Secrets
3 Stars
Determined to bring down those responsible for the torture of his SEAL teammate, Ian Richards willingly takes a position with his estranged father, renowned drug lord, Diego Fuentes. Unfortunately, things do not go according to plan when Homeland Security agent, Kira Porter, arrives on the scene intent on stopping Ian from ruining her agency’s most important assets.
The plot and characters have definite potential, especially in terms of Ian’s relationship with his father. Unfortunately, the incessant and repetitive sex scenes overshadow the storyline and what little tension and suspense is created dissipates quite quickly when it becomes clear that neither the SEALs not the criminals believe Ian’s transfer of show more allegiances for one second.
Although I have the boxset of the spin-off series, I may or may not continue. Maybe if I’m in the mood. show less

She is called the Chameleon for a reason. Kira Porter is the secret weapon of the Department of Homeland Security. She is able to assume any persona at any given time and function in circles virtually undetected. In all her years with DHS, there has only been one man to ever see through the disguise and reach the woman underneath. That man is Ian Richards Fuentes. Now, Kira has been given the assignment of her career and one that may very well be the most difficult. With her prey in her sights, she sets out to achieve her goal knowing very well that when Ian finds out the true reason she is there, he just may be angry enough to kill.
Deemed a traitor by the men he fought with for years and the country that he loves, Ian Fuentes knows show more that his decision to join his murderous father’s drug cartel is the right one. Negotiating for his best friend’s life was worth every sacrifice he has made in the last eight months since he joined his father’s ‘team’. Ian knows he is a wanted man so he let’s no one close. Single handedly bringing his despised father to his knees is going to take every bit of effort and cunning that Ian possesses. He does not have time to keep a certain Miss Porter entertained and out of trouble. Livid at finding her nosing in his business, Ian knows Kira is a weakness. A weakness he can’t afford to have, and one capable of derailing his plans of revenge. He has spent months trying to bring down the Fuentes’ empire and he refuses to give up until his vicious father is taken down.
Kira and Ian come together in passion hot enough to melt plastic. Each is secretly captivated of the other but both have walls around their inner selves. Walls that neither Ian nor Kira have any intention of allowing to be scaled. That is, until the danger that surrounds them comes to a head and the only thing they can depend on is each other.
Kira and Ian’s relationship is anything but ordinary. Each strives for dominance but in doing so the reader is treated to an intoxicating look at these captivating characters. Ian is the consummate lover – thorough and precise. He is also skillful at maneuvering the treacherous world he has entered. And Kira is the woman who completes him. She gives no quarter, but in loving Ian she loves him entirely and with every ounce of her being. I found myself shivering in anticipation more than once watching their love unfold.
I recommend running, not walking, to purchase KILLER SECRETS when it is released. Lora Leigh has continued her Tempting SEALS series with a captivating look at Ian Fuentes and the woman he can’t help but adore. Several surprises are in store for readers along the way – surprises which will entice and endear. I couldn’t get enough and have reread KILLER SECRETS more than once. I can’t wait for March when it is released nationwide!

This book was hot. Or maybe I should say caliente! Fabulous steamy read with loads of action in the story as well.
Sexy Ian Richards Fuentes has taken control of his father's, Diego Fuentes, drug cartel after being casted as a US traitor and leaving the military. Diego was responsible for attempting to "break" Nathcan Malone, Ian's SEAL teammate, friend, and arguably step-brother. Kira Porter steps back into his life to try to bring him back. Before either one finds out about each other's missions, they fall in love, have great sex, and kick major butt! I was glad to see to see the Durango Team in action again, that Reno has a child, that Clint and Morganna are married and that Emily and Kell are engaged.
