There is something about Yorkshire which generates this type of book or TV series. It's a cold, bleak and also very beautiful place where the local characters provide the stories. Not great literature, but just a warm, sentimental read which I enjoyed hugely. The "heart" in "Heartbeat" says it all. Loved the whole series.
