This is a fascinating book about three kids who survive the flood of October 15, 1954 in Weston Ontario. Like a flood, the book pulls you in and you can't get out, no matter how hard you swim, kick, or crawl.
Eric Walters is a fantastic author and I think I say this about all his books but - they are amazing. I don't know why, maybe he uses the perfect amount of dialog, action and emotion, or maybe he picks great topics to write about. No matter what it is, it's great!
A short but good read. It is not extremely satisfying or great, but it is a nice quick read that tells of a flooding house. Not one of Walter's best books. WARNING: DO NOT READ THE BACK OF THE BOOK! It literally tells the entire story up to the last 15 pages. I made the mistake of reading it, ruining the entire book.
