Domingo, a communist militant in Franco's Spain of the 1960s, served as a liaison between the internal resistance and the party leadership in Paris. On one of these risky trips, forced by the police dismemberment of a Madrid cell of the party and the need to prevent further arrests, he found himself reflecting on the adequacy of the party's conspiratorial and centralist methods in the face of a constantly modernizing reality. He also expressed the weariness and doubts of someone who had dedicated much of his life to a cause that continued to appear hopeless. It is an intellectual film, with a lucid focus, and without a bias. Technically it offers some problems, as for example in the poor synchrony between some dialogues.
