Conan with dogs!
-the first chapter of this volume was the second half of a two part cliffhanger. As usual, the motive and the means were so contorted and convoluted as to allow an illogical and irrational plot sound interesting and mysterious. But then I'm not the one with a series that's up to volume 29... Still, it was nice to learn a bit more about Inspector Maguire.
-the next case was probably the highlight of the volume as it involved the mysterious Syndicate again (finally) with the introduction of a new member to this dangerous group. Although again, another convoluted scenario, this time involving a secret mole.
-the case with dogs.
-the case with foreign sports celebrities with premeditated crimes using the most convoluted of show more means (why does this sound familiar?).
Other than the first two, the rest of the volume was somewhat on average compared to the other cases of the previous volumes. Hopefully as this franchise chugs along, it doesn't end up running out of creative steam. show less
