Straightforward account of the history of the Holy Land. This book filled in all of the "holes" for me and allowed me to finally understand what is going on! What I really enjoyed about this book was its lack of opinions and theories. This is the history lesson you need to be able to form your own opinions.
Mith Frank does a remarkable job of providing young and ESL readers an overview of the history and current state of conditions in the Holy Land. Sections of the twelve chapters begin with a question that help the reader develop a framework of the answers they can look for. A complete timeline, glossary and index make using the book for research even more accessible and informative.
A good book for introducing and understanding a complicated conflict. Chapters are titled thus: What is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? What is intifada? What is the PLO? Each chapter breaks into sections headed by more questions.
