Description

Eleven-year-old Cody, who plays both hockey and guitar, tries to combine his two interests by forming a fledgling band with some of his teammates, but he is presented with a difficult choice when a conflict develops.

Bruce Brooks was born in Richmond, Virginia on September 23, 1950. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1972 and from the University of Iowa Writer's Workshop in 1980. He has worked as a newspaper reporter, a magazine writer, newsletter editor, movie critic, teacher and lecturer. He has written several children's show more books including Everywhere, Midnight Hour Encores, Asylum for Nightface, Vanishing, No Kidding, and Throwing Smoke.
