This book is conceptually well-written, but suffers from a frequent, jarring misuse of English syntax and idiom, resulting in, at worst, confusion and, at best, an interruption in the flow of reading.

I hold the editor/publisher responsible for this, not the author.
Compared to most library science textbook, this book is quite interesting and useful. Chu's writing style is clear and concise.
I am half way through this book and so far I find it to fairly easy to read. Some of the more technical pieces could be explained better, but beyond that, I find it a quality text.
This book is a requirement for my Information Storage and Retrieval course. This book has useful information. It's not terribly boring, but I wish it had pictures for the examples and to just make the read more interesting.
This is a good book. I wish there were pictures and examples to show exactly what is being discussed.
Very technical, but easy to follow and extensive.
Ok reading, mostly technical
