For once the heroine was not an airhead and the male was truly a nice person. Enjoyed how religion played a part in the story to help understand the difficulties that occur in life. The concept was great that Beth was determined to fulfill her obligations for working in a rural area even though she never wanted to go back to the mountains of Kentucky ever again. Surprised how Clark would be willing to lose her rather than leave the mining career. ( )
