Light hearted social commentary where a group of state school children from a rough part of town are entered in a tetrathlon against a team from the posh school. A heartwarming, if slightly saccharine message, about how if you work hard and have grit then good things might happen. With the unexpected sub-message of 'well, it's sort of OK to cheat if they cheat first', which I wasn't expecting. The team is made up of a dreamy one, a hard one, a Sikh, and a girl, which always skirts the edges of clunky stereotypes (why, oh why, does so much of Nutty's story arc have to involve her losing weight, getting rid of her braces, and getting contacts, and then at the end going 'well, we'll play by the rules next time and just have boys'?) but show more which I enjoyed, and which even surprised me at points! show less
