Totally Captivated, Volume 1

This book was much different than what I expected, but it was really good! I didn't realize when I ordered it that it was a manhwa (Korean manga) and I wasn't sure if it I would get confused by the format being opposite what I have now become used to in the Japanese manga. However, it was no problem to adapt at all. I also expected the story to be much darker considering most of the manga I've read involving mafia, police or any plot of that type tends to be. I was pleasantly surprised that this manga has much more humor than I expected.

There were a couple typographical gliches which I haven't really noticed with other manga but they certainly didn't detract from my enjoyment. The artwork was really nice and easy to look at with all the show more characters each having very distinct features.

In this story we follow Ewon as his weakness for pretty men lands him on the wrong side of his ex-boyfriend who, in turn, recommends him as a gopher and sort of housekeeper to mafia boss, Mookyul. Ewon is both an endearing and exasperating character and I had a great deal of fun reading about his transition into the "gang". I'm definitely happy to have discovered this series and am really looking forward to more! show less
