Zilahy Lajos történelmi trilógiájának (Dukay-trilógia) harmadik kötete a 19. századi európai forradalmi hullámok, különösen az 1848–49-es magyar szabadságharc és a Habsburg-birodalom hanyatlásának drámáját mutatja be a Dukay-család sorsán keresztül.
