Hardbound. Until recently the most common approach to monitoring, health risk assessment and management of indoor air quality was to consider each atmospheric pollutant individually. There is now the realisation that both the comfort and the combined health risk may depend not only on the concentrations of individual pollutants, but also on the complexity of the interactions between all the constituents in the air. In addition, any mitigation process aimed at one particular pollutant can affect other pollutants as well. Integrated management strategies should take these processes into consideration and aim at an overall upgrade of the indoor environment. This book has a unique character and focus and includes a selection of papers presented at the International Workshop Indoor Air: An Integrated Approach covering comprehensive characterisation of indoor air, strategies for integrated health risk assessment and strategies for controlling and ma No library descriptions found. |
