Read by Anjie, Summer 2006:
"I chose this series because I'm always looking for books that the LD population could enjoy. The evolving plot carriers the readers interest and provides enough vocabulary so that the reader doesn't feel like they're reading "baby" books. The books are fiction, but include facts about each state. This might spark an interest in a state report. Rand offers his fans a fun and interactive we site: www.americanchillers.com. His books are considered self-contained; however, in the last few chapters Rand cleverly includes a glimpse of his next book to entice the reader. I could see using this series in literacy circles to encourage reading for teens that are lower level readers who struggle to find books that keep show more their interest without frustration. Students can connect with the books by reading about places they've been to. Rand also has a Michigan series. " show less
This bok was about two kids that lived in florida. When a fog cloud coverd florida. They get lost in the fog and cant find away out and fog figures follow them and hunt them down. The fog figures where animals and people that had been lost in the fog when it lifts. The two kids get lost looking for their dog when they get lost and a person made of fog told them that they had to get inside and out of the fog or when it lifts they wil turn into fog. When they are out in the fog, fog creatures chase them and if they touch them they turn into fog.

I liked this book because it has mystery. And at the end of the books it would go into another book. And that they would sometimes be running from something.Or hiding from someone.
i think this is an A.R. book.
