Me and my siblings had a blast reading this book after it was given to us as a gift, and you know what? It did actually help us talk about our feelings a bit, and we cracked up together at some of the illustrations, like the kid crying. Yeah, that was a little mean but we didn't do it in real life, and there were a lot of great illustrations and an age-appropriate way to present feelings and possible reasons someone might feel or act this way. Overall it's a pretty great book for younger kids, but older kids and adults can also enjoy this book.
A variety of modes of writing in this collection, reveal the many types of feelings we people experience, both the comfortable and the uncomfortable. Aliki's delightfully expressive cartoon-like illustrations show us what we know -- what we have all been witness to or experienced. She presents scenes and scenarios through dialogue, story and cartoon-like illustration with active, expressive characters that capture the attention of the reader.
This book is a great read for students who are experiencing bullying in school or dealing with cliques. I like this book because of the language and content. This book explains many different scenarios about who people may feel in different situations. This book is for younger readers but has a dense about of content. Some of the stories include how you may feel if you are left out of a play group or not invited to a birthday party. The author included illustrations that are easy to read and children can understand. Another reason I liked this story is because of the variety of emotions the author included. There are more emotions than just happy and sad. During each emotion or feeling. The author drew out how different scenarios may show more occur based on the feeling your react with. Great for ages 3-5 when teaching them about feelings. This book teaches about feelings through short and cute comics. Good illustrations.
Summary: Feelings is a compilation of comics, poems and short stories about all of the emotions that we can feel as humans. Feelings can change, there are stories in this book that help the young readers to understand how to manage changing feelings.
Reflection: I think this book will be really helpful in teaching young children about the wide variety of mixed and changing emotions they can have. I would not use the whole book in one setting, but I would pick and choose pieces to help children to work through specific emotional situations.

This book is broke up into several different scenarios of how people feel when people do certain things. It showed how someone felt when they worked really hard to make something and someone destroyed it. It also showed how something felt when they lost their pet and the friend was comforting and made the girl feel better. This is a good book to use to teach children how they need to becareful what they say because it could hurt someones feelings.
A great book with pictures of many different emotions and what they look like on people.
