I am glad I read this Dark Harvest. I think out of all the books I have read by Karen Harper, it is the best. There is lots of character depth. The characters are real and fun! I really enjoyed reading about the Amish people. This was a excellent story and it was well researched. I was really shocked to learn who was behind the killings. I was happy with the out come of the book. If you have not read this book, pick up a copy, you won’t be disappointed!
I had serious doubts about this book. Amish? Come on. But it was better than I thought it would be. Being a romance, the ending was terribly predictable. It seems that I'm not having much tolerance for romance novels these days. They seem trite and too fluffy. If you're interesting in a romance novel with some suspense mixed in, however, I'd recommend this book to you.

What was really off-the-wall about the book was that it was set in Ohio. Being from Ohio myself, it was weird to read about places that I was really familiar with. I don't think I've ever read a novel set in Ohio before this one.
An entertaining mystery of the bonnet genre.
4 star based upon average rating. I will come back after I read the book and give a proper review.
