The Ewoks and the Lost Children adapted by Amy Ehrlich based on the screenplay by Bob Carrau and story by George Lucas, tells the story of the 1984 made-for-TV Star Wars film, Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure, about the Ewoks on the planet Endor. The story focuses on Wicket W. Warrick's family discovering two children in a crashed spaceship and saving their family from the monstrous Gorax. Both that film and its sequel, Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, served to set-up the later Ewoks animated series. Unlike the other Star Wars films, this was largely a children's fairy tale that just happened to overlap settings and characters with the original trilogy. In a way, this story has more in common with George Lucas's later fantasy work, Willow, than with Star Wars. The book includes Ehrlich's adaptation of the narrative along with production stills. Intended for children, much like the film on which it is based, it will still entertain the younger range of Star Wars fans. ( ) no reviews | add a review
