Overwritten to an almost comical extent, without any real substance. WIth the exception of the final Lovecraft Cafe story (itself an overwritten sleep aid, though with an occasional joke in the titles of the dishes), these seem attempts at allegories or children's tales, but without any awareness of what makes them work. Pretty forgettable.
