Rescue Me is a delicious mix of three very talented romance novelists. Though the trio's plotline is nearly identical, which makes for predictable outcomes (as in any romance novel), this collecion of stories makes up for it with steamy relationships and powerful love connections. "Atlanta Heat" is a wonderful combination of nail-biting action and dark, unrelenting passion.
Whew, my fingers are still smoking!! "Rescue Me" is one fiery hot anthology. This is one you won't want to miss.
"Tropical Heat" by Cherry Adair. Elizabeth is mistaken for a famous plastic surgeon and kidnapped by South American terrorists to give their 'most-wanted' torturer a new face. The last thing she expects is local teacher Sam to turn up to rescue her. Lucky, lucky her. Not just because Sam is mega-hot, but also because he's retired Special Ops and his teaching job is for spec op weaponry and high-risk situations for counterterrorist ops. He's also had his eye on Elizabeth for over a year...just waiting for her to be ready for him. Time's up!
"Atlanta Heat" by Lora Leigh. Em is the god-daughter of the SEAL Admiral and she's had show more the hots for SEAL Macey for a long time. Now she's been kidnapped and Macey's on the hunt. Macey has already lost a pay grade after being caught in a very compromising situation with Em by the Admiral. His orders? Rescue Em and keep her safe in an undisclosed location til the bad guys are caught. His personal orders? Screw the bad guys, screw the Admiral, and most definitely...screw Em...repeatedly!
"Desert Heat" by Cindy Gerard. Elena is the assistant DA. Seth is a police detective. Neither are happy when they are paired up in a charity Grand Canyon hiking scavenger hunt. It doesn't take long before the desert isn't the hottest thing going. Now if they can survive the bad guys hunting them, they may just have a chance to see if they can make this thing between them work.
Loved all three stories. Hot enough to singe your fingers! show less

ATLANTA HEAT
BY: LORA LEIGH
This is Mason "Masey" March's HEA story. Masey is the ultimate bad boy of the Durango Team. He doesn't handle authority well and that is why he is still Lieutenant. He is a pain in Admiral Hollaran's side. He is also after the Admiral's goddaughter Emerson Delaney. He knows that she is way out of his league but his heart is set on keeping her forever. Masey is a nerd and a Navy SEAL. He is big and strong and tough. He is also stubborn and loyal to a fault as we have seen in the previous books. He will do anything to protect those he sees as friends and family and that includes Emerson. I like Masey a lot.
Emerson has longed for a family and love all her life. Her parents never knew how to handle her when she was show more a child. Because of the distance her parents kept between them she has learn to live by herself and never accept love from anyone. Emerson is very intelligent and compassionate and thinks that Masey is just about perfect. She is afraid to take that step to winning him though.
This is a very nice story and it deals with getting rid of another of Sorrell's spies. While a story like this is never long enough. Mainly because we don't get to read about the development of the relationship between the main characters this story is pretty complete. As always the sex is steamy and Masey is a gentle sensuous lover that show Emerson that she has never had anyone satisfy the way Masey can. I enjoyed the story and it was a good end to the series if there is such a thing. show less

Good for an anthology, this book had three good stories, the third of which was the best. It was written by Cindy Gerard and was called Desert Heat. Of the three stories, it was the one that drew me in the most.
A decent collection of stories by three well-known romance authors. It was a quick but enjoyable read and has given me another author to check out (Cindy Gerard).
Pretty girl is kidnapped (or being stalked) by bad guys. Studly guy comes to the resue. They have hot sex, and live happily ever after. Times 3.
That is about as much character development or plotting that has gone into these 3 short stories. They are virtually identical, and totally brainless. All three of these authors write full-length novels that are much better than anything here. Choose one of them instead.
