Good for an anthology, this book had three good stories, the third of which was the best. It was written by Cindy Gerard and was called Desert Heat. Of the three stories, it was the one that drew me in the most. ( )

ATLANTA HEAT
BY: LORA LEIGH

This is Mason "Masey" March's HEA story. Masey is the ultimate bad boy of the Durango Team. He doesn't handle authority well and that is why he is still Lieutenant. He is a pain in Admiral Hollaran's side. He is also after the Admiral's goddaughter Emerson Delaney. He knows that she is way out of his league but his heart is set on keeping her forever. Masey is a nerd and a Navy SEAL. He is big and strong and tough. He is also stubborn and loyal to a fault as we have seen in the previous books. He will do anything to protect those he sees as friends and family and that includes Emerson. I like Masey a lot.

Emerson has longed for a family and love all her life. Her parents never knew how to handle her when she was a child. Because of the distance her parents kept between them she has learn to live by herself and never accept love from anyone. Emerson is very intelligent and compassionate and thinks that Masey is just about perfect. She is afraid to take that step to winning him though.

This is a very nice story and it deals with getting rid of another of Sorrell's spies. While a story like this is never long enough. Mainly because we don't get to read about the development of the relationship between the main characters this story is pretty complete. As always the sex is steamy and Masey is a gentle sensuous lover that show Emerson that she has never had anyone satisfy the way Masey can. I enjoyed the story and it was a good end to the series if there is such a thing. ( )

Rescue Me is a delicious mix of three very talented romance novelists. Though the trio's plotline is nearly identical, which makes for predictable outcomes (as in any romance novel), this collecion of stories makes up for it with steamy relationships and powerful love connections. "Atlanta Heat" is a wonderful combination of nail-biting action and dark, unrelenting passion. ( )

A decent collection of stories by three well-known romance authors. It was a quick but enjoyable read and has given me another author to check out (Cindy Gerard). ( )

Tropical Heat: The brilliant lights of the operating room glinted off the scalpel being held to Dr. Elizabeth Goodall's slender throat.

Atlanta Heat: Some women a man knew to stay the hell away from.

Desert Heat: "It's for a good cause. It's for a good cause. It's for a good cause." That was Assistant DA Elena Martinez's mantra and she was sticking to it.
