This is one in a long line of super Henry and Mudge stories. Three short stories in one book, the adventures of a boy, Henry, and his dog, Mudge. In this book, they go on a picnic with a bee, bath time and a magic tree. I love these stories they share the joys of childhood between Henry and Mudge. They include childhood activities kids can relate to and fun times with big Mudge, a Mastiff. The humor and adventures they share inspire young readers to read all of their stories!
I have a lot of respect for Henry's mom. In some ways I want to be her, with a big porch & yard & trees, and long dresses and bare feet - but I don't want a huge slobbery dog, thank you.
This book is about a boy named Henry and his dog named Mudge. The book has three different stories about them which includes when they go on a picnic, giving Mudge a bath, and going to the top of the hill together. I would recommend this book because it is a good book for early readers and has engaging stories. Many students may also relate to the stories if they have pets of their own. I would recommend this book for 1st or 2nd graders.
This is a perfect book for early readers. It is comprised of three short stories. The stories are separated into chapters that tell the story of Henry and his dog Mudge and the adventures they have while spending time outdoors.
Henry and Mudge are friends that go in some adventures in the summer and have a fun time with whatever they are doing. This is a great book to use for younger readers who want to read "chapter" books, because they are very short chapters and have a lot of pictures. It's a good book to use for friendship because there is a whole series the students can read that go on the same premise.
